🧠DS Tactical Breakdown
Nestled between flat sprint stages and the looming Pyrenees, Stage 11 turned into a breakaway spectacle with a dramatic twist at the finale.
Uno‑X strikes gold: Jonas Abrahamsen timed it perfectly, staying clear in the final climb and outdueling Mauro Schmid in a tense sprint to claim his first Tour stage since recovering from a collarbone injury .
Van der Poel nearly bridges: The Alpecin‑Deceuninck ace launched a powerful solo chase, closing the gap to just 7″, but ultimately missed the top two .
Peloton shows heart: With exactly 4 km to go, Tadej PogaÄŤar crashed outside the 3‑km safety zone. But true to spirit, the yellow jersey group eased pace and waited as he remounted; over team radio, he calmly reported: “All good, all good. Respect to the bunch.” Â
Yellow Jersey stability: Ben Healy and EF Education executed a flawless day—tracking moves, riding safe, and emerging unscathed as they enter the mountains leading the GC.
